No seriously, I had once attempted baguette prior to this just by McGyvering alfoil and baking trays but it didn’t really work out.. this however is perfect. Proof and bake on this baby. Amazing.
Much different to bake with.... Ill need to do some homework I think! Still the product came in a cotton bag and was beautifully presented.
This proofing box was exactly what I needed to get my starter going as my house is so cold even keeping it in the oven or microwave wasn't enough. The day I put her in this she instantly became active and I was able to bake with her within a week. It has also been great for proofing bread in my cold house.
I use it this flour to make my own sourdough bread, it performed beautiful. It has a natural colour and baked goods flavourful and high-quality.
I have been searching for a reliable AUS warming plate for a reasonable price and couldn't find one. Then I came across this on on IG. It is great! It's so easy to use. I would highly recommend purchasing this warming plate if you are after one.
I was so happy with my first cast iron loaf pan, I had to buy two more!
Why not bake two or three loaves at the same time and save on electricity. I had the option of one loaf at a time when I was using my large cast iron pot, but now I can do up to three. It's nice to get a crisp crust but I had to play around with the cooking temperature to get it just right.
This is great! I was prepared to put my sourdough bread making on hold for winter, it's been SO cold. But this box has solved my problem!
My only tip would be to place a rack on top of the heating pad to stand your containers on. Direct contact caused dried stuck-on edges -maybe I left it in too long, but the rack solved the problem.
This is a well made item and a pleasure to use. I've held off buying utensils for sourdough until I was sure I'd stick with it, but this is one tool I'd say is essential to really work with the dough properly.
I've been making sourdough for quite a few years but I'm over the round loaves and wanted a more practical shaped loaf. Your cast iron loaf pans are the best! Love love love them. Thank you 🥰
It’s simple piece of equipment but all that is needed to keep my sourdough at a constant warm temperature and also the dough at the various stages of the sourdough process. It has been a game changer in successfully making sourdough during winter.
This fermentation box has brought a whole new level of predictability when doing bulk fermentaion - no more guessing. I put a rack over the heating pad to keep the bowl off the direct heat and it works a treat. I use the fermentaion box every time.
