Same or Next Day Dispatch

Most orders are processed as quickly as possible, with tracking details emailed to you on the same or next business day.

Every Sourdough Mate order is carefully packed by our small family team in Mount Martha, Victoria, and sent with Australia Post.

Australian Shipping

We pack your order with care

Most orders are packed and dispatched the same or next business day.

During particularly busy periods, sales and holidays, it may take us a little longer. If there’s a delay, we’ll always do our best to keep you informed.

Once your order has been dispatched, you'll receive an email with your tracking details so you can follow its journey.

Standard Shipping

Standard shipping starts from $5 within Australia and includes tracking.

Your exact shipping cost is calculated at checkout based on your delivery address and the weight of your order.

For larger or bulky items, a custom shipping charge may apply.

Express Shipping

Need it a little sooner?

Express Post is available within Australia, excluding WA and NT, for orders up to 5kg.

Orders placed before 12pm on business days are generally dispatched the same day.

Express Post is a faster service, but delivery times are still dependent on Australia Post and your postcode.

How long will my order take?

Delivery times vary depending on where you live and the service you choose.

As a general guide, Australia Post estimates:

  • Standard Parcel Post: around 2–4 business days within the same state/metro area
  • Standard Parcel Post: around 3–6 business days between major interstate metro areas
  • Express Post: often 1–3 business days, depending on your location and whether your postcode is within the Express Post network

These are estimates rather than guarantees, and occasionally Australia Post may experience delays.

International Shipping

We ship to selected international destinations, including New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, China, India, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Canada and European countries.

International shipping is calculated at checkout based on the destination and weight of your order.

There is a maximum order weight of 5kg for international orders.

International delivery generally takes around 10–14 business days, depending on the destination and customs processing.

Customs, duties & taxes

International orders are sent on a Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU) basis.

This means you may be responsible for any:

  • Import duties
  • Customs or formal entry fees
  • Local taxes
  • Other charges applied by your country's authorities

These charges are determined by your local customs regulations and are outside our control.

Some countries also have restrictions on importing certain food products, ingredients or baking materials. Please check your local import requirements before placing an international order.

Shipping to the USA

At the moment, we don't ship to the USA.

The duties, import requirements and customs processes for goods entering the USA have become increasingly complicated, and unfortunately they can result in unexpected costs and delays for our customers.

Rather than risk sending you an order that may incur confusing or unexpected charges, we've made the decision to temporarily pause shipping to the USA.

We hope to be able to offer USA shipping again in the future once we can provide a simpler and more reliable experience for our customers.
