A pre-seasoned cast iron pan designed especially for baking loaves in a 60cm or wider domestic oven. These ovens recreate the steam which is needed for oven spring and mimics techniques used by professional bakers.

The handles make it easy for the lid to be removed while giving the bread an even golden colouring. 

Recommended Banneton Sizes:

All our bannetons will produce dough sizes that will fit inside this bread pan Dutch oven, with the exception of our Large Round/Oval Waffle Wood Pulp & Large Oval/Round Cane bannetons which may be a bit of a squeeze but will fit!

Great product

My order arrived very promptly, the cast iron bread works well also better than the challenger bread pan with its clumsy handle. I would know I own one five times the cost

Finally some ears!

Great product, simple but effective.
I have been baking on a stone in a regular electric oven and using a water spray bottle for added steam. Results were okay, but I could never get decent ridges or "ears" from my scores. Using the cast iron dutch oven with a little ice inside, produced excellent spring and ears fist try.
